Bring money because you've got to pay to get in. Not expensive but worth the hikes and scenery. Drink plenty of water, be careful and stay on the trail and don't litter! Do bring a camera !
Great hiking trails abound in this park close to the wasteland of Western Phoenix. On clear days you can see clear across the valley. Busy on weekends.

Beautiful mountains and trails .
We started out at 6:30 am and saw four deer, a snake , and a mountain lion (among other birds and critters)!!! :)
After a good rain, the waterfall at the top of the waterfall trail will be flowing. And by "flowing", I mean a little more than a trickle.......but it's still good to see water in the desert.
Love to take the kids on the Waterfall trail , but don't expect to see a waterfall .
Take a hike and enjoy the workout!

I haven't dont the Goat Camp trail, but I really liked the Mesquite trail. It looped around at combined with another trail, but altogether it was probably 13 miles! Long and flat, but it was nice. - Courtney Smith
Fun trail for the little ones or some low-impact cardio. Relatively flat, mostly paved trail. - Thomas Hunsaker
