Prep for possible raccoon issues (they love oreos ) but other than this prepare for a fantastic stay. The folks running this place are fantastic as is the campground !
Mid July being Absorbine Jr for gnats. Lots of shade considering the summer heat. Still amazed at all the rain flys up. Take em down when it is hot and won't rain!!
Great clean campground . Ice and firewood available at the office until 8pm. Trout steam and the Upper Iowa River offer plenty to do. One of my favorite campgrounds in Iowa

Mabe's is one of the best pizza experiences you will have in the Midwest, and easily the best pizza in Iowa. Made from scratch thin crust, gooey cheese and fresh toppings. It's a local phenomenon. - Erik Rowley
