A great place to walk over an excitable dog who just want to be able to run free after balls, sticks and birds that follow you everywhere... Oh and jumping into deep puddles too...
There is a plaque at the corner of the common where the road junction is about Sir Frank Whittle (who lived nearby) and the invention of the jet engine .
Gets very waterlogged in places!
