Lots of history behind this landmark , but not all of it is translated into English.
Its nice to see the old architecture but for Taiwan its not so normal to pay entrance fee so I was surprised

National historic site since Ming dynasty, right next to the open plaza so there tend to be a lot of visitors. - William Kan
Lovely boutique department store that maintain a family run vibe. It also maintains the tradition Japanese decor with slight modern updates. Definitely visit the rooftop & rooftop cafe. - R F
