The only public memorial to Benjamin Britten that I know of on a lovely wild stretch of beach . Colonel Blimp doesn't like it, but the sculptor Maggi Hambling encourages people to touch and sit on it.
Try taking photos from near the sea - get great shots with sky as backdrop. Be patient though - it's gets a constant stream of people who want to see it up close.
Ignore the alleged controversy - go visit! Well worth a look and an interesting addition to the beach .
Must see! #
Not much to see other than a heap of grassy mounds, probably because the land is mostly private. The Visitors' Centre looks good but was open only at weekends. Not even a cup of tea when we visited. - Sue Hutton
Latitude is here! Rejoice, for the indie is a plenty and the poetry is pretentiously approachable. - Olly Newport
Try the nearby fish and chip takeaway, it is very good. Expect a queue as people come from miles around. If you buy a drink in the pub next door, you can eat it in the pub garden. - Edward Andrews
