One of the most significant churches in Istria , protected by Unesco . It was built on top of remains of 4th and 6th century churches and well preserved mosaics from that time are on display. Stunning!

The Euphrasian basilica from the 6th century is the most valuable historical monument in Istria , and on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

Try to come in the evening when there are few tourists around. Sunsets are amazing from the top of the Bazilika.

Die Stille und die über 1400 Jahre alten Gebäude . Toll das so etwas so erhalten ist und man es sich anschauen kann. Wir waren über eine Stunde im Gebäude und kamen aus dem Staunen nicht heraus.
