Plan on a lot of time or passport control coming in AND going out! Get to the airport early when going home. Nice food options and shops await after the check. :) Lovely country ! Worth the trip!

Residents, travelers who can apply for on arrival visas and GCC locals can use the smart gates on the right and left sides, it takes me 15 seconds to pass the passport control section, no more queues!

Since you arrive the airport till going to duty free ( after last security control ) which includes check in , baggage delivery , passport control, body security control it takes maximum 45 mins

Horribly slow passport control at a city like Dubai!! I took a flight into terminal 1 of Dubai airport , there were passengers of only 2 flight, took 55 min. bad system of eye scan that delays process.

If you are platinum or diamond on delta you can use fast track ...ask for a card as you leave the plane

Very efficient. They even gave us a pay as you go mobile sim to use in dubai. (We didn’t use this)

If you can afford it, definitely get Marhaba service. Otherwise, get ready to wait for a while.

Suggest anyone to fly into Abu Dhabi and take a cab to Dubai. Passport control 10 minutes and a 50 minute drive to Jumeirah instead of 2 hours in this mess in DXB!

Frustrating processes

This is one of the world's worst passport controls. Its like Thailand in the 70s! Make sure you have lots of patience because its going to be ugly.
