Cars load first, then passengers. $4 roundtrip, pay only on the Edgartown side & no ticket issued. Must stay seated while the ferry is moving!

You can go clamming in the shallow ponds near the beach. Just dig your toes jnto the sand and feel for hard rocks - if you feel one, pick it up and chances are its a clam! - Krista Paul
