When every other place in Chinatown is closed, this place has freshly baked treats for sale. Definitely get a BBQ Duck Pastry ! Also, there's a £5 take away buffet deal that you can't beat.
Whilst I've never eaten in the restaurant , this has always been my go to place for cakes in Chinatown size my mother used to take me when I was a child. The cakes are still as tasty to this day :)
Their sweet buns are amazing. Be sure to grab one if you happen to be in Chinatown. A nice selection of plain or coconut or custard filled.
Get the har siu bao (steamed Chinese barbecue pork buns ). Featured on F*ck, That's Delicious w/ Action Bronson .
Their roast pork bun has been a staple snack for almost 20 years. Just £1.50 (as on Jan 2020)
Come here for Hong Kong style baked goods to take away .
The cafe only accepts cash. But the pastry is great.
Cheap all you can eat buffet , nothing special but the potato curry is good enough to make it worth!
Very busy. I found the buns and the egg custard tarts both lacking in sweetness, but maybe it's just my unfamiliarity with this bakery style.
Be careful, new tactics to fraud ur money (Kowloon bakery ) when u pay. Count ur change, don’t trust them. They will deny if ur change not right depending on what language u speak or their mood..
BBQ duck was just the ticket late night after drinking
BBQ pork buns are a must.
Egg custard tarts are nice
Cheap and affordable place. Wish there were more selections though. But overall, not bad for £9.50! =)
Process of paying for buffet is a bit confusing (at least for an American (insert joke here)). Sit, order drinks and buffet , pay (cash only ), THEN you get a plate.
Try the egg tarts at the bakery for a taste of Hong Kong :) Yummy!!!
Good all u can eat buffet !
I'm disgusted the place is cheap and old????the chips were cold and soggy!and the egg fried rice was basically eating plastic to add to this I have never tried the cakes but might be good
Not sure what Action Bronson was going on about, the pork buns are garbage.
The restaurant used to be a good choice to eat asian food in London. However it seems to be baddly managed now. Average to bad attention and quality.
Pandan sponge cake <3
Older waitress actually STOLE £20 off our table after taking the drinks order, then denied we had paid. BUNCH OF THIEVES, no wonder it is CASH ONLY !!!!
Customer service standards almost non-existent. Staff walk around like Chinese Imperial Guard . Poor quality buffet . Very overpriced at £12 per person. IGSA Rating: 2/10. Would not recommend!
Okay chinease buffet , but not outstanding
Great buffet meal
Poor food selection, low quality grub as well , just don't bother. The only plus is that a drink is included in the buffet price.
Poor service. Only interested in getting the money before you eat. Food not great and the place looks filthy.
If you go for the buffet - they charge you service charge even though its self service - argue about it and you don't have to pay that 10% more
Awful customer service. Drinks were slammed down at our tables, staff were very scruffy and rude.
Good onion rings , disgusting toilets !!!
Also they don't give discount for kids - outrage
Ham & Rgg bun ftw!!
Worst cakes I've ever eaten!! Avoid this place!!!
Don't go here. Terrible food/service.
