This is small but definitely worth the trip. You get to pet baby horseshoe crabs , spider crabs , and even stingrays ! The sea turtle rescues are adorable as well !
A variety of aquariums featuring various habitats. A rare alligator . Playful otters . Rescued sea turtles being rehabilitated. Stingrays to "pet "! Lots to see and do!
It's a good place to cool off from the heat and see some neat marine life . The Dino exhibits are a little cheesy.
Such a great aquarium ! Only $11 for admission. The shark tank and otter exhibit were so fun.
I think this is the lesser of the NC Aquariums , but definitely worthwhile with the kids, especially on a rainy day. Combine w/other Manteo attractions while on Roanoke.
The "Sea Turtle Rescue " exhibit is a kid favorite! Won an award for being a great interactive exhibit .
If you have a membership at another Zoo or Aquarium , check to see if you get a reciprocal discount . We saved 50% off tickets that way!
Small, but well done. Excellent touch tank and Turtle Rehab station activity. We were here in the off season, so it wasn't too crowded . I'd bet it would be disappointing if crowded .
Lots of displays and a great educational program.
Nice place to visit, especially if it's a rainy day or you've had enough of sitting around on the beach . As someone else mentioned, it's not a huge place but it's worth the visit.
It's a GREAT place to take children to learn and interact act with nature.
Pay extra for the Shark Snack ! You get to go "behind the scenes" and see them feed the sharks up close and personal! Click "More Info" for a short video I took. Read more
Really great place for a family outing !
Shark feelings are at 1pm every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, go watch for a fun aquarium experience
Smaller then I thought but our five year old daughter loved the sea turtle rescue part.
It's small but fun, with a cool sea turtle rehabilitation section
Jellyfish room was my favorite
Nice place to take kids...fun activity path outside to play on
Not as large as say Baltimore, but the otter and shark exhibit are worth seeing! Prices are decent!
If you have some adventurous little guys, buy some shark teeth at the gift shop and have them dig them up at the "fossil pit."
Sea turtle rehabilitation center was cool and informative
Pet the stingrays
You can touch the sting rays. I loved it.
Family membership best value if you hit here twice in the same year.
If you are a FONZ member, you get in for free!
My family had fun at the aquarium , a few of the big fish in the shark tank decided follow us around, that was the best part for my youngest son.
Very nice for a family day!!
Nice activity for a rainy day
Go here if you have kids!
This is apparently the only thing to do in the OBX when the weather is crappy.
Loved it!!
you can pet the sting rays
The sea turtle exhibit is well done.
Try to see the river otters . They're loads of fun
It was really tiny and super crowded I didn't really think it was worth the money....
The halloween decorations in the tanks were cute
Had a good time
Try finding shark teeth in the sand pit, so hard.
Smallest aquarium I've ever been to.
Must see the sharks
Dig for shark teeth
Not huge.. .but a decent price and the sharks are way cool.
