A beautiful old bar, narrow as a fish tank, with walls hung with bright oils of literary figures that bring it to life. Clientele ranges from old and wise to office types after work, and then trendy scensters pile in late on as a DJ plays disco until dawn.

One of the best whiskey selections in Belfast, possibly second only to the Duke of York. The staff here are much more pleasant though, and more than happy to have you sample some fine Irish whiskeys .
Music is always brilliant, whether you come on a Sunday or a Tuesday night (Depeche Mode and the Cure clearly being the owner's favourite), but also Mac Ivor's cider is lovely. Really like this place.
