Montrose Station opened in 1907 as part of the Northwestern Elevated Railroad's Ravenswood line. In CTA's skip-stop service, started in 1949, Montrose was originally an "AB" station, but it was changed to "B" in 1973 and remained that way until the CTA discontinued skip-stop service in 1995.

I wrote Glenn's off after 2 bad experiences. I spoke with Larry the owner..and he never got back to me...So they will not see any of my business because I can get superior service st Subway nxt door.
Margies is a great place to satisfy your sweet tooth. Just East of the station.
Make sure to stop at Glenn's Diner - especially for brunch . Awesomeness.
