Best bat flights are seen here at pre-dawn hours especially during July and August! If you are an animal lover with a pet that you can't leave behind, the park offers a kennel service for a fee.
Beautiful formation. Loved it. I walked all the way down to bigroom and then hikes back. Elevators were broken. Don't forget to carry food or some snack bar as cafeteria inside cavern is not reliable
Walk down the the caverns from the natural entrance and take the tour around the Big Room !
It’s cool, just really long. The fact they weren’t doing a great job during Covid with making people keep their masks on/up during the elevator line was stressful
One of my favorite National Parks . You must, MUST do the Kings Palace tour , they take you in and turn the lights out. Incredible experience. Long hike though if elevators are broken
Absolutely incredible. The self-guided tour will not disappoint. Wear a light jacket . 56 degrees inside the cave . Flash photos ok. Add this to you list!
With an active military ID you get an annual pass for free to visit any National Park or Federal Rec. Parks free for a year. Also a nice %15 discount at the restaurant w/ I.D. Don't pass this up!
After seeing the caves , you might as well stay for a late lunch or early dinner . Food is decent and you won't have to fight the crowds in town .
One of the most amazing experiences of my life. Go on a weekday and you will have the cave almost to yourself. It’s almost creepy.
Take the ride down 75 stories to easy walking paths for almost anyone. Amazing!!!
Do the King's Palace tour . Very easy walk and a lot of story telling. Off season is great but you won't see the bats.
This was incredible! I will never forget the majesty of the caverns . So glad I got the chance to visit.
Such an amazing experience. Everyone is super nice and there to help you out on how to take on the caves . Will most definitely come back.
I learned that your receipt is good for 3 days! So if you want to take your time to enjoy your cavern tour , save your receipt!!
There is a shorter tour if you don't want to spend half a day on the longer tour . Bring a jacket year round!
If you're the last group to go you can straggle along a bit because you'll be waiting for the elevators - they've been down for a while now. Don't straggle too much so you won't miss the extra part.
If you're up for an adventure through tight spaces, the tour through the Hall of the White Giant is awesome
Largest underground natural cave . Years ago NatGeo installed a lot cool lighting for one of their issues and left it there. - Matt, Development Equipment Supervisor
Amazing fun! Please don't speak loud while you're in here...
Overheard at the information desk: "How much of the cave is underground?"
Was easily one of the top five experiences I’ve had in my thirty years on this earth!
Who could guess at the hidden treasures deep underground? Beneath the rugged land are more than 117 known caves !
Absolutely breathtaking!! :) don’t recommend small children!
Got peed on during the bat flight ! Which is a program that I'd highly recommend, as well as the King's Palace tour .
Even though it may be 100+ degrees outside bring a sweater or jacket because the caverns are a constant 56 degrees .
No wifi ! (Kidding). Sometimes park employees clean the caverns . Using a kiddie pool.
Wear comfortable shoes ! Amazing though. Long lines but worth the wait
Wear comfortable shoes and bring a light jacket . This place is awesome!
Military get in free, with guests!

Left Hand Tunnel tour is worth the price!
Well worth the time to enjoy what nature has given us.
MUST SEE. It's a lot of walking and gets really cold in the caverns , so beware.

It starts at dusk. The bats They come out fairly slowly, and it's best in September. Bring a cushion to sit on! The rock seats are terrible after a little while. - Marie Hill
