Assumed to be built in the 8th century, it's Belgium's oldest castle . In the 11th century, it was owned by Godfrey of Bouillon, leader of the First Crusade and first ruler of the Kingdom of Jerusalem.

There are falconry shows every day at 11:30, 14:00 and 15:30. Check them out, they're very cool, you can see eagles, vultures, etc. However, they speak only in French and Dutch (Flemish).

The best castle I've ever been. It's enormous and worth visit it. A must in a visit to Les Ardennes.

Come here at 20:00 or 21:00, they do a guided tour with torches through the castle !

Castle itself is cool, but it seams to me that there are too many historically inaccurate things written, and to many wild guesses what chambers were used for.

From the castle , you have a wonderful view on the city ! Maybe the best panorama of the area!
