A lovely place to hike , swim , or have a picnic . Restrooms are close to the swimming area, and the snack bar has some good choices ($8 minimum purchase to use debit cards). Gorgeous scenery !
The best spots in this park can only be found by going off the beaten path; there wasn't always a lake here. Ruins of old houses and farms abound, as well as 11 old cemeteries within park boundaries.

Great beach, the snack stand is pretty expansive for a state park, they take cards, also the further half of the beach is not nearly as packed, so it's worth the walk across the treacherous hill. - Michael Meulstee
Best, cleanest McDonalds ever! Friendliest staff! - Patricia Kiefer
