Great pub for a beer and a chat with friends, old or new. Doesn't admit kids, doesn't do music , just beer (lots of choice) and conversation. Fab
The Bacon and Yorkshire Blue melt is amazing. That and a pint of Marstons Oyster could be my idea of heaven!

Avoid. Rude bar staff . Closes at 11 and shortly after staff make it very clear you are not welcome...
Its 1 of the very few gas lit pubs around which is very atmospheric but also quite hot which can be a bit overwhelming at times but the friendly welcome & relaxed atmosphere more than makes up for it! - Lisa
