This is the closet thing you will get to soul food in Minnesota. Consistently delicious, moderately priced , with a cool vibe. You can't go wrong with their comforting vittles! Parking is a challenge
Hands down one of my favorite restaurants . Plates are to be shared. BBQ (smoked beef and slow roasted pork ) is amazing and order several sides such as the yuca , fried plantains , and cornbread
What's good here? Everything! The chicken curry bowl with yellow rice was perfect. If you have never tried curry , this is a great introduction. Try it with the collard greens . Very affordable too.
The pulled pork and over easy egg bowl is to die for. It's the best. I also like the pulled chicken plate with a side of rice & peas .
It's a sort of Minnesota-farm-driven hybrid of two other restaurant traditions, namely the South American way of making rotisserie meats, and the classic Southern meat-and-three soul-food set-up. Read more
Come with friends and order everything. No. seriously. Standouts: the rotisserie chix, pork , collard greens , sweet plantains , and jalapeño spinach . Great paleo option!
Delicious, #locallysourced dishes prepared with a blend of southern and Latin American influences. The yucca fries are to not to be missed. I would bathe in their cilantro lime aioli .
Best Comfort Food - Even if you didn’t grow up with a southern grandma, you can feel all wrapped up in love with some soulfully slow-roasted meats, cheddar grits , and pretty much anything else Read more
Fantastic food - the crispy Yuca is amazing! Love it there in the summer when they open the glass garage door walls to take in the great weather!
Pulled pork very good. That spicy vinegar that's on the table? Use that on your pulled pork . My group all ordered different sides, they're all good
It's all about the meat. And the guac . And the corn cakes . And the house hot pepper vinegar. And alot more.
Delicious fresh food , service on point and great outdoorsy seating! One of the best lunch spots in the area!
Voted City Pages top ten sandwhiches ! Brasa's scrambled egg & spicy sausage sandwich with gooey Jack cheese and a fresh slice of tomato ($6.95) "the sort of thing a chef serves himself
Pulled pork , guac , tortilla soup , yams and andouille , cornbread ... wash it all down with a Jarritos. Heard amazing things about their brunch , but haven't been yet.

Try the yucca go outside of your comfort zone they have some unusual menu items that are very good.
Voted Best Kid-Friendly Restaurant by City Pages in 2012! Concrete floors make for a quick clean-up! Slow-cooked, responsibly framed food is delectable for children & adults, & staff is quick to serve
Rotisserie chicken and sweet plantains , you can also keep your pint glass for $2 more
Red beans with smoked brisket yellow rice got me right together today! Had to get it all to go & my co-worker who hates the smell of anything told me it smelled like a small slice of heaven!
Everything is amazing here. We tend to get many small plates so we have have a little of everything!
The slow-cooked food is delectable for kids and their parents, while it is responsibly farmed , free of chemicals, and abounding in delicious vegetable options.
Awesome, tasty experience - great value ! Waitress from heaven discovered I left my iPhone at the table, sprinted outside to find us before we drove away! That's above & beyond.
You can add eggs to anything. In my book this makes Brasa the best all day breakfast spot in town !
The cornbread , pulled chicken , rotisserie chicken , collars greens, and yams were good loved the wine as well
This is my favorite place to eat out. The food is always good. The price is exactly where it should be.
While the meat was mighty good, we favored the filling vegetable sides, namely the crisp yucca fries , candied yams , rustic cheesy grits and the warm chunks of honey-glazed cornbread .
I'm no vegetarian but the corn cakes with black beans and rice was the best thing I had in Minneapolis on a 10-day trip!
Try the Pork Sandwich . Slow-roasted pork , dripping with spices and a healthy dose of the vibrant and tangy mojo sauce , brings sense to this mad, mad world.—Mpls.St.Paul Magazine, February 2011
Fried yuka and slow roasted pork are delicious.
Love the gumbo fried rice . Expect to wait for a table if you come during lunch hour.
Have a beer while you wait for your takeout , duh.
My favorite restaurant in the Twin Cities - you can't go wrong here. There is also a location in St. Paul whose menu varies slightly.
Always delicious, but if you're doing take out and want your salad tossed with dressing , double check if you ordered it that way! Inconsistent.
"One of my favorite things to do while in the Twin Cities : Eat at Brasa Rotisserie. Hands down my favorite place." --Adam Richman, Man v Food Nation
Food is amazing !!! Service is very slow..... They seem to take there own sweet time. The food came before our drinks. Guys in the back are working super hard. Pick it up girls!
The food is both absolutely delicious and absolutely afordable! It's a great place to go for sharing and pairing dishes with your friends or family.
Amazing! Try the pulled pork , Yuca Fries , Cheese Grits , and honey glazed Corn Bread
Great casual place . Perfect for swarm summer night. Food was perfect. Staff was pleasant
Get large sized sides! The medium sized showed up to me like they were a portion for a single person!
The yuca and yams & andouille are by far the BEST sides, especially when paired with the beef . Your taste buds will thank you.
The food and the people are so great I could eat here every week.
It's not Colorado Green Chili , but Brasa has the best I've found in Minnesota. Thumbs Up!
The portions are quite big so if you thinking about sharing with one other person, take just 2 things ;]
Great hot sauce and the yuca fries are as great as they say.
Per Chuck, I grabbed the pork plate. I wish I had gotten a picture of the carcass. Love the coke in the glass bottles too!
Order the crispy yuca fries and pour as much hot pepper vinegar on them as you can for a taste-bud explosion!
only had an hour in minneapolis--ended up being the perfect lunch stop to get a taste of the city .
Meats get the spotlight on the menu, but we love the sides, too. Try the crispy yucca with mojo and rustic cheese grits . - CBS MN Read more
DELICIOUS creole food . Absolutely a must try in the cities !
If they have the spare ribs on special, get them. They are some of the best ribs in the city - thick, smokey, and juicy, but not overly sauced.
On the ever quest for excellent BBQ in MN, we discovered the amazing ribs here & were hooked (even w/out the excellent beans and mac n cheese!). One of the best BBQ offerings in the Metro. - Shawn
Amazing food! Pork ribs are divine but also enough vegetarian options of sides and deserts if meat is not your thing! - Jerome Berglund
This place is huge!! Have just about everything you could want (even Adult Chocolate Milk). They also are connected to a cheese/deli which looks excellent! - Kelly Watkins
Very cool authentic historic building. Great customer service. Try the Ahi Tuna Sandwich. Tator Tots are amazing. - Ben Gutnik
