Muckross Killarney Co Kerry Ireland
Climbing the red trail by Torc Waterfalls is quite workout, but it gives you the best view of the park . You get a bird's view of the lakes , Mucross Estate and Ross Castle . Amazing!
The staff at Killarney National Park Education Centre have a wealth if knowledge . Be sure to call 0646635960 and book a guided walk of the woodlands, you won't regret it.
Make sure to visit Ross. Castle and island , take a boat trip with the mv pride of the lakes from Ross castle sit back and relax on Killarney lough leane for only €10pps .
Leave the Muckross House crowds behind and walk along the trail next to Lough Leane . Absolutely stunning.
I would strongly recommend going on a guided walking tour with Killarney Guided Walks. Call +353 (0)87 6394362 to book . The guides, Richard Clancy and his Irish red setter, Rua, are fab. Read more
Lovely place to walk and cycle. Very busy in the summer though.
Easy access from Killarney but strongly recommend to rent a bike for the day! Worth every penny!
There is a company that does ghost tours in this area if that's your kind of thing. It was both entertaining and educational .
Get a guided walking tour with Richard from trip advisor! The tour took us to spectacular views and was super cheap !
Fantastic area to have a ramble in. Some of the views are spectacular
The greenest National Park I’ve ever been to. Had a great time.
Take the horse back ride through the national Forrest. One if the best ways to see the park as well as get a great view of the lake !
Allow plenty of time so you can stop often. Each spot offers something unique.
One of the most amazing places I've ever been. Wear rain boots (just in case)
Don't forget comfortable shoes !!!
Maybe, one of the most incredible places I have never visited. Must!!
The restaurant here is also nice for an quick Sunday lunch followed by a nice walk in the park
Very beautiful with Very Nice walks
Rent a car and drive it yourself so you can stop and take it all in.
Beautiful nature ☘️
Park your car and get lost in the great natural wonder of the ring of Kerry.
Beautiful views , excellent walking.
make sure you bring bugspray because there are MIDGES EVERYWHERE in wet weather
Great park , nice hikes .
About 2.5 to 3 hours to hike around the lake
Leave plenty of time to stop and take in the views .
Picturesque & tracking
If you can hike , do it. Shuttle bus is just not worth it unless you're short on time.
Good walking trails
After visiting Galicia, killarney is nothing special, just a green place.
Rent a bike !
Nice views
Un petit bout de paradis ! Énormément de chose à visiter. Pratique en voiture. Prochainement ce sera une grande randonnée
Bellissimo anche in macchina
Da vedere assolutamente!
Стоящее место!!! Красотень!
Hermoso lugar
The gardens & waterfall surrounding areas are impressive, well maintained, beautiful. Avoid the horses, they stink and can be a rip off. Highly recommended, leave the car and walk around, it's free! - W C
Really good access to all sorts of nooks and hidden rooms in this ancient place. And the yew tree is impressive. FYI: an abbey can be either a friary or a nunnery. I thought they were different ;) - Garrett Motzner
Wunderschöne Natur mit verwunschenen Plätzen. Herrlich zum entspannen! Ich empfehle den ca. 10km langen Rundweg in ca. 3h zu laufen. - Anja Faißt
Great homemade Mushroom soup & Soda Bread, thank you Carol - Frank Taylor
This mountain is just above 1.000 meters high, but it's the highest in Ireland. It is not too hard to hike (6 hours for a complete walk up and down, and around), and the landscape is fantastic. - Felipe Eurowon
Amazing waterfall ! Free parking and free access, a must see in Killarney ! - Claire AuChocolat
Beautiful run or walk from the city center. It's closer than you think. - Peter Kahn
