The gardens & waterfall surrounding areas are impressive, well maintained, beautiful. Avoid the horses ,they stink and can be a rip off. Highly recommended, leave the car and walk around, it's free!
Beautiful grounds and beautiful house! Taking a horse and carriage ride ($40) is fun & perfect if you're in a time crunch and want to see everything without taking the time to walk!
Absolutely stunning! They close at 6 so make sure to buy tickets prior to 5. We missed the house tour 🙁 they don’t open until 1 either.
Book guided walks of the woodlands of Muckross Peninsula from Killarney National Park Education Centre. 0646635960. The staff ecologists have a wonderful knowledge of the park 's natural heritage.
To access the house, you must be with a guide . Unfortunately didn't get to see inside, outside grounds are still gorgeous and worth a visit- Esp via a pony carriage ride !
The horse carriage ride is well worth the expense , plus they will wait for you while you visit different parts of the park , like Torc Falls and Muckross Abbey.
park the car, get a ride in a horse-powered cart. 35 euro for up to 6 ppl, will get you to Torc waterfall , wait there, than to Muckross house for lunch and then back. great views . boat trips there too
Absolutely stunning. The whole area of Killarney is picturesque.
Sorry, but tour isn’t really worth it. Lovely surrounding scenery though.
Go on a sunny day, lay in the grass, run, see the amazing house furniture
Guided tour of the house was interesting. House, grounds, and park are beautiful
Es un hermoso lugar para pasar una tarde increíble admirando la belleza de sus jardines el camino es largo, muy largo pero la recompensa es grande
La historia,la arquitectura ,te transporta a aquellos tiempos. :)
Great lasagna, great fresh juices. Dessert was ok. - Tilek Mamutov
This was by far my favorite castle in Ireland. Great Tour guide, very fun trip. Also surrounded by a beautiful forest that you can traipse around in whilst waiting for your tour! - Leila Toba
Really good access to all sorts of nooks and hidden rooms in this ancient place. And the yew tree is impressive. FYI: an abbey can be either a friary or a nunnery. I thought they were different ;) - Garrett Motzner
Breathtaking! Didn't feel very safe for bikers (beginners), so had to take a bus tour. - Shey Ventura
Amazing waterfall ! Free parking and free access, a must see in Killarney ! - Claire AuChocolat
Easy access from Killarney but strongly recommend to rent a bike for the day! Worth every penny! - Shey Ventura
Wunderschöne Natur mit verwunschenen Plätzen. Herrlich zum entspannen! Ich empfehle den ca. 10km langen Rundweg in ca. 3h zu laufen. - Anja Faißt
