High St Colchester Essex CO1 1DN United Kingdom
A beautiful, landscaped park kept in great order year round, it sports not only the Norman castle after which it is named but a great playground , cafe and bandstand with music most summer weekends.
A lovely place to visit as long as it stays dry. Great place for families. Also a good place for peace and quiet . Check out the cafe . Very nice.
Lovely when the weather is nice. Right by the high street shopping, but feels like it's further in the countryside. Don't be in there after sunset though.
Park has several areas. Upper and lower. In the summer lower has more social and active space and and upper is better for picnics etc.
Beautiful a large park with massive and excellent children's play area . Hard to believe it is in the centre of town .
Visit Hollytrees Museum of local history at the top end of Castle Park. It's free to get in! Look for the beautiful dolls house, based on the Hollytrees building.
Relaxing to sit in the Park , with your iPad ... be great if wifi was provided.
Great place to relax with a book . Lose yourself in lower park . Down by the river is best.
The squirrels are really tame and friendly !
Hours open vary by season for safety reasons.
Lots of Pokemons here :- Jynx, Gastly, Horsea, Staryu etc
Very good new playground opened here in April 2011. Two zipwires!
Lovely park to bring the kids for an hour or so. Desperately needs newer toilets though.
If you step into the old red phone box and dial *#999# you regenerate into the next doctor who.
The new children's play area is amazing.
Talk to the king Squirrel of Castle Park and he will led you to the enchanted garden of Nartuku.
Currently showing Wimbledon on the big outdoor screen
