An excellent cafe - everything we had was good - but what really sets it apart is the magnificent location at the observatory complex. The star gazing tour there is an absolute must

Very pleasant place to get away from the cold during winter. Offered a good view of Lake Tekapo . You must leave earlier as the road leading up to Mt John closes at 5pm.
Awesome view . Try the road less taken if you can by hiking up to Astro Cafe. Must try - caramel cheese cake
