Get a picnic . There are lot of picnic tables at the visitor center. They also of hot food - burger , fries , coffee . Enjoy the mountains , deers and meadows!
I've been here 3 times, I think. I wanted to visit, after many people told me how nice it was. It's a very short drive from the Seattle area.
The drive up to Hurricane Ridge is worth a visit in of itself. You can feel and see the differences in climate, as you drive up from the coast, to the ridge.
The view is beautiful, but bring bug spray and a hat. It's extremely sunny with little shade.
There are a view nice hikes around the area! The views are really nice. Pack some warm clothes for your hikes ????

On a clear day, from a lookout area located at Hurricane Ridge, you can see Victoria, British Columbia.
Switch back trail has awesome views , mountain goats , lots of other wildlife !
