With some changing exhibits and ones that have stayed the same since childhood, it's a great place to learn, draw etc. Fun exhibits with features for the kids also.
New walk is a great building but the exhibits rarely get up dated other than the upstairs exhibit . The Egypt exhibit has been the same since I went as a kid, and that was about 15 years ago.
They've got dinosaur areas as well as nature & ancient history and art areas. You don't /need/ to pay, but cough up at least a small donation you tightwad.
Great art gallery area. Some interesting parts for children too. Something for everyone.
Beautiful Museum with a great big dinosaur . Spectacular Building!!!
Free!!!!!!! Great to take the children for an hour or two.
Franz Marc's The Red Woman in the upstairs gallery is one of the finest German Expressionist oil paintings in the UK
Newly reopened geology gallery - plenty of specimens to see, including the type specimen of Charnia masoni.
Eygptian area is cool
The new Dinosaur Gallery is amazing, well worth a visit.
Great dinosaur exhibition for the kids!
Look out for kids who throw crisps at the exhibits - bonus: tell their parents to control them!
The dinosaur exhibit is ace!
Perfect exhibitions
Try the rocky road !
I can't believe they don't allow photos to be taken, but anyway I took it. lol
The mummified cat is creepy as. You can see its teeth.
Attended lovely family wedding here yesterday so peaceful and picturesque. Staff very attentive and helpful. - Sara Mack
Fun visit. Everybody in Leicester is so proud to be the burial place of Richard III and this museum shows this well. However, it also highlights that this claim to fame is rather tenuous and forced. - Samuel Pattuzzi
Hidden behind De Montfort University. Really great use of a historical building. Has exhibits on the building itself, the world wars, and Leicester history. The back garden is lovely to sit in. - Kate Burton
Very nice, clean and modern with some of the best shops in town. Could do with a bit more free seating for when it's cold and wet outside, but they provide umbrella wraps which is a nice touch. - Zara
You may ask why it is in museum square... Because its full of old relics - Jamie Green
