This hotel is amazing! Ask for a room with a view of the beach ! Super awesome service there. The tapioca part of the breakfast are also delicious.

Historic hotel . Book 1 year In Advance. Breakfast in dining room by window is lovely. Sip coffee on porch in rocking chair facing canyon. Rooms too pricey for lack of restoration done on inside.

If you show up and they are sold out ask if Parks and Rec has released the presidential suite. If they haven't, give the desk your name and ask them to call you when they do... Which will be about 6p.

if you are without children on your train ride up but just spent 2.5 hours on a train with everyone else's kids, this is a great place to decompress and have a drink before seeing the sights!

One of the park system's best hotels . The restaurant is a bit snobby. One evening all I wanted was dessert and was turned away because I did not have a reservation . The restaurant was empty.

Food and environment are fabulous. Enjoy the rocking chairs on the porch or a drink on the vernanda.

Make dinner reservations early, it can be hard to get in at the last minute. Also, ask for a table in Ned's area -- by far the best service I've ever had in a restaurant .

Breakfast here made the trip complete. Do not miss the chance to eat right on the rim.

The expresso rubbed black angus filet mignon was out of this world! You have to try this!

El tovar suite, best suite in the lodge , the deck is huge and views the canyon!

Had lunch here HUGE servings. I had the Chili but it was served cold but they did not charge me gor it. I normally wouldn't care but there was snow outside. Very reasonable priced.

Carrit cake is soooooop good, i'll come back just to get another piece.
