One of the best parks I've ever been to! Very charming, with a unique view in every corner. A paradise for a photographer , just choose the right time of day. Children's playground is a gem here too
During the summer check out the band stand they usually have one playing on Sunday. You can also hire deckchairs, but ice cream and have a lovely Sunday out. Perfect for family and friends & Picknics
The park is beautiful and has a lot of trees to give shade. There is a large area near the end with tennis and playgrounds . Do bring money though, the play area isn't free.
Take the kids for a walk starting un town . Walk up to the play ground and on up to the forest . On the way back pick up and icecream and coffee/tea. Perfect!
Great place for a walk, right in the heart of Harrogate. Check out the New Zealand garden near the Sun Pavilion.
Head up the hill along the pagoda and keep an eye out for the Ripley ice cream . For a longer walk check out the pine woods in the direction of Harlow Carr.

Great open space near the centre of town .
Don't miss the boating lake as you can hire a radio controlled boat for your kids for two quid!
Remember a change of clothes and a towel if you are going in the paddling pool
The tennis courts are brilliant and well maintained. Really excellent facilities.... They even have disc golf !
Don't miss the Cafe half way down that does great ice creams and coffee .

Great place to take the kids , there is a cafe in the park and the playground also has a council “snacks” shack where you also hire equipment. Take a flask and save the expense ... parking can be pain - Spencer Hudson
