This is such a relaxing and enjoyable way to get into Venice from the airport . Yes, it's slow and inefficient if you are in a hurry...but that's the point!

DO NOT get a return ticket ! While worth the experience on the way to Venice, you don't want to miss your flight because of two full boats. Save yourself the angst and just take the bus back.

Get the water taxi if you have cash. Talk to the guy by the speed boat sign for that.
