Huge historic hotel . Well appointed decor, great service, excellent food catering , and good internet.
Bartender Polly -- in the lobby -- is a treasure. In addition to being charming and funny, she has a wealth of helpful tips for how to make the most of your stay in Kansas City.
Very nice gym and active and fun bar . The a/c units in the rooms are LOUD ! Cool, new, efficient elevators . One of the nicer exec lounges .
As a licensed massage therapist who does outcalls throughout KCMO I have seen most of the hotels . My favorite is the 12th Street Marriott. The rooms always have space and the staff is solicitous.
Complimentary Wi-Fi in the rooms now. Nice staff at the door. A short walk to the Power & Light District.
Concierge level includes nice lounge area right off the lobby elevators . So worth the extra charge!
Had great service (thank you, Michael!) at Lobby restaurant and nice healthy meal as they were happy to accommodate our crazy diet.
Pretty nice hotel but a lot of the rooms were muggy and hot. No fridge in the room which was tough for our extended stay.
Great and friendly staff . Nice hotel bar with outstanding bartenders .
You're better off saving the $10 a day, on the Internet, and taking a walk to the Starbucks, two blocks away, where the internet is wildly faster, and FREE
Get a south-facing room for the better view .
Selam is fantastic! And the grilled cheese sliders are great!
You pay $400 for your stay and STILL have to pay $10 a day for wifi ??? BOGUS! Nice, clean room with great views . Elevator freaks me out a bit....
The Downtown Marriott is a proud sponsor of Sporting Kansas City and official visiting team hotel of the club. Thanks for your support!
Nice hotel in a great location. Ask for a room at the end of the hall, as the elevators are quite noisy .
Friendly service and excellent views , but the halls and rooms could do with an update.
One of the best Concierge lounges of any Marriott I've been to
If they upgrade you to a suite for some reason, you'll find it is larger than many peoples whole houses.
The barbeque salmon at the KC Metropolitan is delicious.
PBR Sky Bar has a free mechanical bull and a reverse happy hour , its in walking distance and the best time I've had in KC
Close to Light and Power district. Nice place.
Wifi is $9.95 per day per device - and "High Speed Internet" is more of the goal, than the reality!!!
Free wifi in the Lobby-BarCentral open till 1:30am
Great location in relation to PnL but it's a rip off. Costly and they charge for every little thing. Rooms are very basic especially for the price.
Free WiFi . Works for me.
Internet is $10 per day per DEVICE and it's just wifi . Highly recommend finding a place with free Internet.
It's kind of strange a hotel this expensive doesn't have free WiFi or an in room safe. Beds are comfy though, New toiletries everyday.
Don't use the fitness center elevator for any of the normal floors. I tried and the elevator failed. Dumped me off at floor 13 after trying 8 different floors to let me out
Great hotel expensive though
The business center is open 24/7 and is set up to cover most needs.
For $9.95 a day for internet, I expect it to work. The internet speed is almost as bad as dial up
Whatever you do, DO NOT SEND OUT DRY CLEANING!!! I need a jacket simply steamed, and whomever they sent it to absolutely destroyed it!
This elevators can be really confusing.
Concierge lounge is one of the better ones I've been to.
Request a room that ends in XX36. They are considerably larger.
The sewage came up in my bathroom . Most disgusting thing ever.
Construction ! And if you have a truck skip the parking garage . It doesn't fit.
I put a 100 dollar bill under my seat cushion in my hotel room. Maybe you will find it.
No free internet in a hotel is insane now a days. Especially with all the construction going on.
Under renovation but should be amazing by May!
Internet is expensive . Plus you have to walk like 3 blocks to get to your room.
This hotel should be embarrassed that it charges $10/ day for a wireless internet connection that usually fails to work or is super slow
At least the fitness center is free.
Not only do you have to pay for wifi , you have to pay everyday for EACH wireless device you want to use
Internet access not included with room. It'll cost you $10/day.
Internet is overpriced ($9.95 per day) and you can hear almost everything going on in the hallways. It's nice, but nothing to write home about.
SORRY ASS PLOW DRIVER PLOWED ME IN!
It is ridiculous that you have to pay for internet!!
great food in there bar
No charge for Wifi anymore
