We got round it in 1.5 hours but didn't get to see the 3D film or inside the lightship in that time. Press the blue button by the TV screen alongside the coast guard boat for excellent footage.
Get the membership. It is a great place to support and you get many perks like free admission to the Columbia Lightship in the picture below!
Take the time and visit this museum . It will broaden your perspective of the river that defines the region and those who have devoted their lives to a life on the river .
Give yourself at least and hour or so for the full tour . It's a great museum with lots of wonderful exhibit offerings.
It was a very nice museum with features appealing to both adults and kids.
Oregon has so much to offer but the coast helps define us. We love learning about the many ways we are connected to the sea!

Wow! This museum is worth the $10 admission . I could've stayed for HOURS. Too bad my 4 yr old could care less.
