I like this museum a lot. I spent a lot of time on the history zone. "The Troubles" section is quite interesting and displays important developments in the recent history of Northern Ireland.
Free museum with a very chilled atmosphere. It offer a very relaxing visit through a lot of different themes. The upper floor host a nice gallery with upcoming talent. worth it !
Get the lift to the top and start there.... Why on earth start at the bottom and deal with stairs?
All of the 7 art galleries are temporary displays , so there should always be something new to see when you visit. head up to levels 5 & 4 to see the current exhibitions .
Love these places with the children and so much to see with all the walking. Great place and well worth a visit.
Lots of interesting taxidermied animals to see and even touch (!) Quite unique!
Great museum . Friendly staff . Lovely exhibits . Combining the old and new buildings.
Take the kids to the art space (or just go yourself - they smile indulgently) and okay with a wide range of arts and crafts materials. Don't miss the mummy, with accompanying film - really very good.
John Luke exhibition has just opened in Art Gallery 3, and 300 years of Irish Landscapes in Art Gallery 2. Both well worth a look!
The museum received a Sanford Award in Heritage Education in 2010. You’ll learn new things here!
Especially enjoyed the history sections
Many museums in one. Good for kids . Only for Museum fans.
The StarStruck is excellent, worth the extra entry fee. However it could be improved by displaying stills of the actors wearing the costumes
The Troubles - Bloody Sunday How long, how long must we sing this song? How long, Tonight we can be as one....
Make sure not to miss the art exhibition on the top floor.
Great exhibitions but the cafe is a bit on the pricey side...
With various sections, very huge
Check out the Game of Thrones tapestry
Try Black Bear coffee shop across the road for a damn fine cup of coffee .
Check out the Game of Thrones tapetry in the art section.
See the Game of Thrones tapestry - it's fantastic.
I found the route around the museum a little confusing and some of the touch/feel exhibits were worn to nothing.. it was ok though
Extra big!
Colin Davidson's Silent Witness paintings are quite powerful
Home to the remarkable treasures of Tutankhamun’s tomb – fly direct to Cairo with bmi.
Great alternative venue for an evening reception!
I can see why it's free.
I like a lot.
It closes at 1700
Had not been here for years myself, but was very disappointed wifh the new layout and too much space given to ¨street art ¨ most of which is crap
I haven't been here for years but it's been all redone so it's on my new to-do list!
Don't try and come here on a Monday unless it is a Bank Holiday. The place is closed.
