Switzerland's lake Lucerne is among the most scenic lakes in the world where I recommend to take the passenger ship from Lucerne to Brunnen and then Fluelen where you have excellent train connections!

Maybe the most beautiful lake in Switzerland . Which is saying a lot, obviously. I actually recommend taking one of the hour-long boat tours to see the whole thing.

If you get a chance to go for Lucerne Fest (it was July 1 this year), it's well worth the trip. Lots of people, good music and great fireworks . Makes a gorgeous place even more fun.

Moment of Zen.

There are plenty of students studying abroad around here, which is great for you. Rent a paddle boat and take it out on the lake . With the mountains and shops in the background, it's breath taking.

Take the 1hr boat tour that leaves from the piazza across the lake from the train station . It's not cheesy at all, the views are amazing, the boat is very nice, and they serve drinks onboard.

Charming villages dot this lake that commemorates the beginnings of the Confederatio Helvetica which took place at the Rütli meadows on 1 August 1291.

Recently moved to Switzerland and visited this place. I will come here a lot for relaxing:-) Feel very good here.

If you & significant other are in Switzerland in summer - stay here for couple of days and enjoy the lake - there is something to rejuvenate

Take the boat from Lucerne to Mount Rigi.

Try a ship for an hour or two. You can return by train if it would take too long.

Wir haben eine einstündige Rundfahrt auf dem See gemacht. Die Aussicht ist wunderbar. Ich empfehle euch frühzeitig auf dem Boot zu sein, wenn ihr einen guten Sitzplatz ergattern wollt.
