America's Masterpiece! In 2009 Zion National Park was rated #1 by Trip Advisor. This national park located near St. George, Utah is 30 miles in length and 15 miles across at its widest point. Elevations range from 4,000 to 8,700 feet.
Highway SR 9 Springdale , UT 84767 United States
Angels Landing was amazing and I hope to do it again, but I don't think my youngest would care for the heights. I'm so glad I came up to escape Las Vegas. What a way to see Zion; a world class trail !
Amazing place! You must start from the Narrows hike-Riverside walk first thing in the morning! I recommend getting your butt up at 7am and line up for the free shuttle ! Views are spectacular! Looove!!
$30 for a car. Worth every penny and the time. Scenery is breathtaking & there are plenty of stops for pictures. End your trip with beers with a view at the Zion brew pub toward the southern entrance!
Angels Landing , best hike we did. It is very long and strenuous for the average joe. But it is fully worth every drop of sweat. Also: the narrows. Pick up sticks and water boots at visitor center
Beautiful park . If going to Narrows, make sure to wear good water shoes and carry a walking stick. You can rent shoes , socks and stick for $25 in town . Also have them at a shop at the entrance
Angels landing and Narrows are a must do, but they are strenuous. Weeping rock and canyon overlook are easy and great! #BestOfCanyons
In a word, “STUNNING!!” Fills up fast (get there early and use shuttle during season), and some steep cliff exposure, even on moderate hikes . The views are worth every effort. Fantastic!!
First time there we did emeralds pools to give us and it was lovely definitely need to spend at least one night to get the full experience we will be back for the narrows.
Try hiking the Kolob Canyons . The 5-mile & 14-mile trails make perfect 4- or 8- hour trips. The longer trail takes you to Kolob Arch, one of the largest natural arches in the world. Read more
Unbelievably gorgeous. A national treasure. Emerald pools is an easy yet stunning hike .
Breath taking views and amazing hikes . First timers - I would recommend Angels Landing and the Narrows from bottom up. Can be extremely crowded during holidays.
This park is truly incredible and my favorite so far. There is a great variation of sights, trails , and activities. Can't wait to visit again.
One of the best hiking spots I’ve been too. Recommend spring or fall when it’s not too hot and crowded . Go early (9am) to the popular spots and bring lots of water and snacks .
Definitely take the time to check out the Kolob Canyons if you are spending a couple of days here. Its 45 mins away from Springdale. Its a short scenic drive with unbelievable views
Go in the off season you can drive the scenic loop there is plenty of space to roam and the temps are better.
Stunning views ! It is worth a trip even if you just drive through the park and take pictures. If you want to see special sites, you need to buy a ticket to ride the shuttle .
Weave among Douglas firs, between walls of sandstone, and along 21 switchbacks as you ascend 1,500 vertical feet from the trailhead to the summit of Angels Landing . Read more
The hikes , food, and coffee are AMAZING here. (btw there are like 2-4 rivers/creeks) the picture is the HUGE picnic area tree !
Awesome, of the parks on the great plain, Grand, Zion, and Bryce. I like Zion the best. Check out Angels Landing , Temple of Sinawava, and if you can get a back country pass to Subway and narrows
Angles Landing . 4 hours round trip tough hike . The most beautiful scenic views in the world. Worth it????!!
Gotta bring your polls and do the Narrows (I think bringing a camera in a waterproof case is very worth it if you're okay with the risk). Also highly recommend both Emerald Pool trails .
The last .7 miles to the top of Angel's Landing is pretty harrowing, w/ sheer drops on both sides and only chains to hold on to, but if you can deal with heights, then the view is TOTALLY worth it.
Angel's landing is amazing! Make sure to wear water shoes for the narrows.
‘The Narrows’ which is a 8 miles water trail . The water is very comfy . If you decide to make it all the way..be prepared.. the water will be up to the neck.
Amazing scenery but it is being loved to death in the main tourist parts. Overcrowded trails , thoughtless people, it’s sadly a Disney version of a national park . Worth going: yes. But still sad.
This place will change you, challenge you, reward you. One of the most breathtaking places I have ever seen; the trails range from easy to strenuous. Park is immaculate; shuttle system is great.
One of the best ntl parks ! Trails and the view is so awesome and you are in the middle of the wildlife- Bucks are everywhere ????????
Great bike ride ! We rented them in Springdale next to Pasta Noodles , 30$ for 4 hours. Climbing slowly up through the park , downhill ride back.
The lines into the park and to the shuttle are incredibly long. It's a petty that such s beautiful park is managed that poorly. More shuttles are required at peak times! The park is a nature marvel!
Amazing views of the rock formations . Take time to hike through it, and enjoy the scenic 12-mile drive down to the Visitor Center!
Want a last minute camp ground get to the south camp ground at 6 and wait it out. You will most likely get one. Otherwise head early to the A-1 campgrounds right outside the park on the east side.
The disneyland of the national parks . We wanted to do the Angels Landing and Kolob Canyon , but both trails were closed. We did the beautiful (but hard) ovservation point trail instead.
Extremely beautiful National Park . You should hike , go to the backcountry, do rock climbing , go to the Narrows, and just enjoy the views .
One of the most beautiful places in the U.S. And my favorite national park . Make sure you hike the Narrows or Angels landing
Park is beautiful, get here early if you plan on parking at visitor center, 10am may be too late..... Shuttle buses are the way to go!
Awesome park ! If you only have a short amount of time: climb Angels Landing in the morning and hike the narrows in the afternoon!
It’s a big place. Plan on being here for multiple days, or at least one full day. If you can’t, then the Narrows and Weeping Rock are your must sees.
There's a reason the Mormons called this place God's Temple . Unbelievably beautiful. Do the West Rim trail and spend the night out that way. You'll be overwhelmed with nature. Strenuous backpacking.
Angel's landing is a great hike ..takes about 2.5-3 hours for stronger hikers . also went rappelling/canyoneering with Zion Rock and Mountain Guides. Great experience
Beauty beyond belief! Wonderful sites, shuttle was great, hiking was outstanding for all levels---loved it all!
Right next to cute downtown Springdale and St. George - a beautiful park you can drive through if you're not a hiker !
Hiked up to Angels landing and the narrows! Great hikes . DIFFICULT angels landing ! The narrows - prepare to get wet!!
If the campgrounds are full look for BLM land . Absolutely worth it and you won't have to share space with others.
One of my favorite places on Earth. Be sure to take the tunnel road if you get a chance.
The Narrows is my favorite hike of all time. Bring two trekking poles and you'll speed past others who are slipping around with just one giant walking stick.
Never hiked anything like the Zion narrows before. It is challenging but absolutely amazing. I'm an amateur hiker but I had a blast. Be sure to rent boots and sticks.
One of the most beautiful national parks experienced! Everyone Should Pl., Zion national Park on their bucket list!
The south desert wilderness is perfect for a short one or two nighter for anyone seeking solitude and natural beauty off the beaten path.
Drive the Mount Carmel highway which takes you on winding roads with plenty of stops to take photos of or just enjoy the stunning scenery .
Your feet will feel like there about to fall off but your body will thank you for the exercise. Plus, there isn't a place here that doesn't have a view of the canyons and rocks for miles around.
Makes you feel sooo good! Zion is gorgeous! - Ece
Really amazing and fun hike.Bring food and water for the hike, also wear good hiking shoes. - Keri Ding
Long hike up to Big Springs with the kids but really worth it. Go early to avoid the crowds. First tram up is at 6 am. - Sunny B
1 mile loop with great views of the canyon. One of the only trails you can drive up to in zion! - Julia Lu
We went on 11/20/2021. The only Emerald pool worth visiting was the lower Emerald pool. We went here after our Angels Landing hike and then took the bus from Zion Lodge stop. - Pema Choden
Easy trail, accesible to most hiking levels. Can get very muddy and slippery during the rainy/snowy season, so wear sturdy boots in winter. Great views on the loop trail at the end. - Kaitlin
