The trail to The Narrows begins where the Riverside Walk trail ends.
Zion Canyon Scenic Dr (Virgin River) Springdale , UT 84767 United States
Beautiful hike . Go at your own pace as this is a long hike if you plan to go the whole way. Plus go early before heat gets up there and crowds build for shuttle. Can take up to hour wait for bus .
Call ahead and check to see if the narrows are open. This area could have a lot of water while the other parts of the park are dry. The hike to the narrows is still worth it. You might find deer!
Love this river hike !! The rocks are so beautiful at every turn. Such natural beauty. Definitely wear proper shoes for the water. If you go anytime not during the summer, prepare for freezing water..
Rent the overall the night before is that you can start early the next day. This way, you can take your time doing the entire hike .Probably wear bright colors if you want beautiful pictures ????
We rented the shoes & stick. Definitely recommend that, people without it seemed to have a much more difficult time.
The most unique hike I’ve ever been on. Make sure to pick up some waterproof pants and a walking stick (your boots will get soaked no matter what). Start early before it gets too hot and crowded .
Try to get a permit to do the Narrows top down. 16 mile one way hike and you just get on the shuttle at the end.
Wear water shoes and use a walking stick . Most of walk is in the river itself. Rocks in river are slick and can shift, easily causing ankle twist and falls.
Rent rest from Zion outfitter right outside the entrance. Get there before sunrise to get a head start on crowds. Well worth the experience
Long hike up to Big Springs with the kids but really worth it. Go early to avoid the crowds. First tram up is at 6 am.
Most popular hike in Zion . Start early to avoid the crowds, though you'll hit them on the return trip.
Zion Adventures was great for all our Narrows hike needs. Highly recommend
Best-known hike in Zion National Park , this wading route follows the Virgin River thru the Narrows of Zion Canyon. The route can be hiked in 1 day if an early start, but a difficult proposition.
Water shoes are a must with dry-fit pants. There are a lot wooden sticks at the beginning of the trail .
Overcrowded but beautiful. Definitely rent the gear if it’s cold out.
Bring a walking stick . It'll help with balance and testing how deep some of the water is.
Hiking the Narrows is a bucket list hike !
Great hike ,really pretty, bring water shoes
Great hiking
Beautiful adventure
Be sure to rent neoprene socks boots and a stick. Rented a drybag but didnt dind it necessary today. Water was not too high
Last tram leaves at 9:15 pm in the summer
Do the Narrows! Best trail ever.
Get wet in ice cold water.
4-hour hike for round-trip
Lots of great info. Get permits for long hikes. - Lizzie Borden
Really amazing and fun hike.Bring food and water for the hike, also wear good hiking shoes. - Keri Ding
We went on 11/20/2021. The only Emerald pool worth visiting was the lower Emerald pool. We went here after our Angels Landing hike and then took the bus from Zion Lodge stop. - Pema Choden
Nice easy walk along the river even if you don’t do the Narrows. Go early to avoid crowds. - eric bornemann
1 mile loop with great views of the canyon. One of the only trails you can drive up to in zion! - Julia Lu
Breath taking views and amazing hikes. First timers - I would recommend Angels Landing and the Narrows from bottom up. Can be extremely crowded during holidays. - _
