The Grotto Trailhead Dropoff (37° 16.16', 112° 56.92') Zion Canyon , UT 84767 United States
This is a tough and dangerous hike , but you will be rewarded with the views and memories of a lifetime. First hike I’ve been on that required the use of chains!
I'm prettified of heights and my friends convinced me to go for it. It was definitely a mental and physical challenge, but well worth it! Almost anyone can and should do this hike .
Amazing hike ! Start the hike before 7am to avoid heat and crowds. Takes about 4-5 hours depending on pace and stops.
You'll get a good work out to reach the top, so make sure to eat, hydrate & take magnesium/potassium. You will need water & a snack . So happy I did this!!
Dope hike but the crowds make it feel dangerous. Hopefully the new permit system will make it more enjoyable.
This is a hike up a ridge with steps and chain handrails to make it as easy as possible without being actually easy. View is unmatched so if you have the stamina (and permit) you mos def should do.
Strenuous and difficult hike , with en element of falling risk as some parts of the trail are very narrow. Please do not hike if you have challenges with heights and do not expose children to risk
Watch out for the winds and the crazies running up or running down. The last bit isn't for the faint hearted.
If you need to ask “can I do this?” the answer is “no.” Please use good judgement and avoid endangering yourself and those around you.
The first 80% is paved but steep. The last part isn't really technically difficult, but scary if you aren't used to exposure. There are outhouses at the saddle. Conquer your fears & go all the way!
Don't hurry off the top. Lie down, relax in the sun and enjoy the best views in the park . You earned it.
Seems intimidating at first but really isn't if you're able-bodied. Great view . Reserve this as a must do for a Zion trip.
A tough hike , but its definitely worth it. The view from the top is awesome! Not recommended doing with little kids.
Don't look down ! Went in the evening made for a nice cool hike but be sure to make it off the summit before all is dark!
Really amazing and fun hike .Bring food and water for the hike , also wear good hiking shoes .
Start early so that it doesn’t get hot. Have good shoes because hiking down can be a pain.
Jesus' Creation, God's Glory! Love the hike . Make sure you take enough h2o! :-) Amazing view .
Since 2004, six people have died falling from the cliffs on this route.
Wear gloves. Even if you think you've got good grip, that metal chain gets really hot
Trail is two way. Don't make oncoming hikers wait in dangerous spots.
The last 0.5 miles is a bit difficult, but the views at the end are worth it.
Tip: hold onto the chain
One of the iconic hikes in the USA national parks .
One of the best hikes in America. Got to make it to the top.
Totally worth conquering your fears !
Amazing views ! Loved it.
Not your average hike . The last leg requires you to use chains to pull yourself up while scaling a narrow path.
Bring a camera . Video whatever. Worth the trek.
Amazing hike !
Really fucking scary! Wear appropriate footwear, you will be hiking to 5,900 feet.
Don't give up it's worth it
It's not that scary!
It's not as bad of a hike as they make you think and the view is worth every single step

Lots of great info. Get permits for long hikes. - Lizzie Borden
We went on 11/20/2021. The only Emerald pool worth visiting was the lower Emerald pool. We went here after our Angels Landing hike and then took the bus from Zion Lodge stop. - Pema Choden

Breath taking views and amazing hikes. First timers - I would recommend Angels Landing and the Narrows from bottom up. Can be extremely crowded during holidays. - _
