What a great day. Not the cheapest but you can easily spend a whole day here. So much to do for all ages. From the fascinating history to Harry Potter Broomstick lessons. Highly recommended
A location used in the first couple Harry Potter films . Beautiful courtyards to walk about, and they have several activities you can participate in, such as broom training , like in the first HP film .
Incredible castle with lots to see and do. They're are three tours on the ground but we did the film tour , which takes roughly 45 mins. Also fascinating to learn about the family who still live there.
It's an amazing historical structure that I've been incredibly fortunate enough to call home on and off since 2007. There are so many hidden passageways!
Definitely worth stopping by, even in bad weather. Scenic views , and great atmosphere. Don't miss the gardens and the treehouse.
The gardens are very good, if a little pricey , especially if you have kids in tow. Be sure to check out the dangerous plants tour .
While the castle has some great history, and has the Harry Potter film legacy, it's the gardens you really want to see!
visit the tree house. scenes from harry potter and blackadder I were filmed here.
Really interesting place with loads to do. Great staff and catering , and Harry Potter was filmed here ????
You may recall Alnwick Castle as the spot where Harry took his first ride on a broomstick . In real life, it has been the home of the Percys, earls and dukes of Northumberland, since the 1300s. Read more
The castle is great for all the family! Try out the creepy dungeon
We ended going back the next day cos, with the gardens too, there was too much to get done in one day!
Not sure if they still charge for parking but all parking free in Alnwick town from April 2014 and it's much closer
Beautiful historic castle well worth seeing.
Difficult to find and get by public transport . No need to buy the extra garden ticket, waste of money.
Stunning place - activities on for kids...great place to visit!
Great day out especially with children.
Coffee shop only has two tables inside. Take your own lunch if a family.
