Truly one of the best museums I've visited so far. Admission is free of charge though you get to see such a huge number of breathtaking things out there! Highly recommended!
So much to see in this absolutely beautiful museum , lots of historical artefacts . Must visit if you're in Oxford.
Extremely good anthropological collection on 3 floors that are not to big. TIP: lighting is subdued. A light source (phone light) is useful to view items that have extremely fine detail or colour.
A personal favourite! Fascinating, bizarre & totally unique! Artefacts , ranging from shrunken heads to amulets & charms, are displayed beautifully. Not to be missed
Absolutely go and see this great anthropological exhibition ! Also, bring a lot of time so you can get really lost in the many displays.
This museum , from a historians perspective is quite problematic, but it is also a fascinating place because of that, definitely worth a visit
Make this your first visit every time you come to Oxford. Outstanding.
A huge collection of objects from all over the world
Just like museums used to be. Don't miss the shrunken heads !
Too many things, but there is a nice collection of things people used to take showers , brush their teeth, cut their hairs, etc in the balcony .
Oh, and don't forget that many of the draws under the exhibits hold more artefacts and things
amazing museum , and very interesting for kids
Don't miss the shrunken heads !
If Indiana Jones had a museum , this would be it.
Tons of stuff from all parts of the globe
Leave double the time you imagine for this place. It's crammed full of intriguing stuff.
South entrance for research collections.
Muy interesante sobre todo muy inteligente la forma en que están clasificados los objetos.
Such a fun way to spend a day! Either with kids or adults- there’s something for everyone! Incredible array of historical exhibits in a beautiful setting. - Valerie S
One of the greatest museums in the world. Exhibitions almost always fantastic. Cafe a little crowded, but rooftop restaurant amazing with views all over city. - Richard Harris
A bit disappointing. I was looking forward to knowing a bit more about Oxford but the 'museum' consists only of one room with some memorabilia and an interactive panel. - Andrea
One of the best hidden gems in Oxford! Great old Rosie cloudy cider and good food! #winner - Bear Byron
