Fish and chips ,ale and friendly atmosphere
The staff were incredibly helpful! I cycled to Box Hill and was waiting for the next train back to London. The staff saw my feet were cold and brought a bowl of hot water for me to warm up! 10/10
It's pretty good and food is good. If you want a more neighborhood oriented pub try The Pilgrim down the road in Dorking, if you can find it.
Staff are nice. Mains are just alright. Wouldn’t write home about it. Sticky toffee is nice with 2 scoops of vanilla but not worth going for.
Great food and friendly service
This is a skip from me.
Left before ordering, bit depressing inside
Fantastic chips .
£10 fish pie still frozen in the middle and staff blase. Lacking in character and friendliness. Give it a miss
New owners are making such a difference to the pub and the local community
Friendly , good food
Lamb shank was epic
Friendly , accommodating pub . Enjoyed a hearty jacket potato tho was tempted by the Sunday roast
Best pub in area by far
Great good and amazing chips !
Hidden on the hill, such a cute little pub, beautifully kept beer garden with lovely views over the hills, fairly pricy food, but good quality. Lovely ploughman's. Not easily accessible. - Emily-jane
The tempura fish with skinny fries and chilli dipping sauce - souped-up fish & chips - is fantastic. Have it. - Mike Reed
Lovely place to go for a walk, with great views and can see for miles on a clear day. Dog friendly. - Lee Loveridge
Challenging but exciting for a 3yr old. The steps have a good rough surface and have good grip even when wet. - Phil Kench
