I’ve never liked fish and chips but I had the best fish and chips here. Definitely warmed me up to this classic pub dish.
Lovely old pub down a back street. Serves great real ale . Look out for the collection of ties on the wall.
Old fashioned ,lovely pub . Not many tourists , good food. It doesn't take an hour to serve you, we had our lunch after 15 minutes. And yes, Bill Clinton shared some pints here(at least there is a photo)
Order the chicken and leek pie it was delicious! Book a table as it's very small pub .
Tiny, gorgeous ancient pub with super low ceilings. Good value lunch specials and garden seating outside ????

Really cosy little pub . Great spot to sit and sample some ales and good food.
Isabel told us everything that we have to know 8)) "wild river " is a really good cask ale
Cosy. Hasn't lost its independent feel and charm despite "tie-in" with Fullers . Come early or be prepared to stand.
Good ales on, incredible selection of ties from visitors mostly from 60s and 70s
It's tiny, but very cozy . The kind of place you want to hang out at.
Cosy pub down a lane with fireplace , real ales and tasty food
Great cosy little pub . Not much room, so arrive early
Great pub established in the 13th century
Food, ale and service was very polite and pleasant!

Great authentic little place.
The worse fish and chips I have ever tried. The did not serve haddock but some other fish . Also Sunday roast very poor. Potatoes were uncooked. Worse pub experience in Oxford

Fish and chips , beef burger
Don't miss the tie collection from all the colleges.
The oldest pub in Oxford . Small & cosy - and mind your head!!
Cold food and I practically had to crow bear the cost of the meal from the barmaid.
Very slow service, took over an hour for food to arrive and then not brought out at the same time. Very disappointing.
One of the best hidden gems in Oxford! Great old Rosie cloudy cider and good food! #winner - Bear Byron
The pork scratchings are some of the best in Oxford! Lovely friendly pub with great staff. One of my favourites! - Claire
