Colossi of Memnon

The Colossi of Memnon are two massive stone statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III. For the past 3400 years they have stood in the Theban necropolis, across the River Nile from the modern city of Luxor.

Yeah, you don't need to be an expert in languages to know what Colossi means! You haven't seen big until you've seen ancient Egyptian big!

Should be the first stop before the Valley of Kings. Ask to stop here and see it’s monumental

Nataly Cnyrim-Kimmel

These two gigantic figures of Amenhotep III were originally situated in front of his Mortuary temple , which seems to have been destroyed for unknown reasons.

Phat Buoy

Only stopped for a quick photo opportunity - the two statues are badly weathered and aren't worth a visit in their own right - prob best for a quick stop on way back to hotel only

ルクソールの観光 はこの巨象から。以前は地震のひび割れ?と湿気起因でたまに呻き声が聞こえたそうです。紀元前の話。

Ücretli bir yer değil, yine heybetli ama diğer yerler kadar etkileyici değil

Beautiful monument - the money shot is from the outside - not a huge amount inside. Unbearably hot walk up to it during the day - bring an umbrella for shade! - Phat Buoy
